We made it to Atlanta. Right now we're in our hotel and we put Erin down to bed about 15 minutes ago. We have a small lamp on and we're being as quiet as possible. So far she has stayed quiet.
We brought the pack n' play for her to sleep in and luckily the layout of the room is in our favor. There is about a 5 foot hallway by the door created by the wall of the bathroom. So we put her crib by the door, and we also brought with us a portable clothes rack and a sheet to drape over it. So she's kind of in her own little room.
We also kept to her same bedtime routine to help her adjust. Dinner. Bath. Playing while The Office is on (at home reruns are on at 7 and 7:30, and we were able to get Netflix to work here on the laptop), then diaper change, 2 stories and down for bed.
So I think all the familiarity helped.

Today went pretty well. We left at around 8am. Erin had several grouchy moments in the car and didn't nap until noon. So it wasn't the most fun car ride, but she's too active to expect her to do great on a 4 hour trip.
Our afternoon was spent at the Georgia Aquarium. We all had a really good time. Later, when we asked Erin what she liked about it, she told us the fish, water, jellyfish and seahorses. We took about 140 pictures which I'll take the highlights and post when we get home.
We have a full day tomorrow. I just hope the midday nap in the hotel is successful. If that goes wrong we could have one cranky toddler for the rest of the day.
So far....great trip!
