I am very lucky to have a husband that never travels for work. I like having him home every night, especially now that we have a kid and another on the way. It's just a nice and stable life.
However...this week he'll be traveling for a conference. Gone on Tuesday and back on Saturday. I haven't spent that many nights alone since I was a single gal almost three years ago. He will be missed, but I also think I'll enjoy the quiet evenings to myself. I'm not sure if I'll spend them being super productive with Special Deliveries, doing other various things on the computer or vegging out on the couch (probably a combination of the three), but it will be my time to do what I wish.
This also means that I'll have 12 hours a day with just me and Erin. Yikes. Usually it's the three of us for about an hour in the morning and then another three hours in the evening. This gives me a break in changing diapers, preparing her food/feeding her (although she pretty much feeds herself these days) and giving her my undivided attention (which she often demands). I know I can handle the extra time of just me and her, but I'm sure I'll be ready for that bed time to roll around (lately she's REALLY been acting like a two year old).
