Tuesday (day two) was a pretty full day. We started at the Botanical Gardens which had virtually nothing in bloom - except indoor flowers/plants - and some construction going on. If it wasn't for the children's garden, we probably would have been disappointed. But in the end we were happy we went. Our first afternoon stop was at the Imagine It! children's museum. It's free on the first Tuesday of every month and thank goodness we didn't have to pay for that. Way, way, way too much and too crowded. I don't know if we stayed an hour before we had to leave and get some air.
We let Erin play at the park across the street for a little bit before we went to the World of Coca-Cola. Erin had mixed feelings about the big polar bear that you could get your photo taken with. She kept wanting to go see him, yet was slightly afraid of him. At the end of the museum was the taste testing. They had several fountain stations set up that were from all the continents. The most disgusting soda I have ever tasted was called "Beverly" from Italy. Some of the others were either good or just slightly weird. After that was a trip back to that same park from earlier, and then dinner. Erin slept perfectly in the hotel room the second night. Not a peep till 7am the next day.

Day three started at the High Museum. It was easier to take Erin than we thought. We pretty much did a speed-walk through it (she has about a half second attention span) and I don't even know how many times we had to say "don't touch that," but we had fun and it was good to move around before being in the car to head home.
We made a stop in Chattanooga - halfway back to home. We found a place called the Creative Discovery Museum that was perfect for Erin and a million times better than children's museum in Atlanta (more space and less people). Walking through the front door, I had a big surprise to see an old friend from high school working there. It had probably been 12 or 13 years.
We made it home by 8:30pm and luckily Erin slept the last hour (she didn't nap at all in the car). Transition into her crib couldn't have gone any better. I think she's been glad to be home today.
