We are back home from our excursion up north. Everything went exceptionally well traveling with our 15 month old (there were a few minor bumps, but not too bad). She did great in the car for the most part, slept a lot which was good.
We made our rounds to both sides of the family (everyone is still pretty centered around Cleveland). I saw some relatives I haven't seen in a very long time. And most people were meeting Erin for the first time. Sometimes Erin would be outgoing and friendly, other times she stuck to our legs like velcro. Some people she never warmed up to - like my Grandpa. That's her only living great grandparent, but it's not like she understands that.
One highlight of the trip was being able to get some relief from Erin. With so many people around, we often didn't have to worry about watching her. And in fact, Wednesday afternoon/evening, we went off with Brian and Nicole to grab some beers and food. My parents watched her, even took her down to the pond to see some ducks. And of course ducks are her favorite.
I've got some photos to share, but most of them are from our stops along the way. During the actual visit, my dad was the one taking pictures of everyone. So anyway, this is what you get.
It was a great trip, but it's also good to be back home.
