Simplifying

We have made some changes lately that I feel really good about:

We are ditching our cable. I've had cable all my life, but I really think I can easily live without it because often nothing is on. I think the simplicity of just a handful of channels will help cut out some clutter.

We rearranged the living room a couple nights ago. It now has a very different feel......very cozy. I like it.

Our cell phone contract is up at the end of the month, and we have accumulated over 4000 roll over minutes. So we are switching to a pay-as-you-go plan. Again, simplifying.

Since we're getting rid of cable, we're adding a subscription to Netflix. So now we get to choose the movies we really want to see, as opposed to what on Stars (not much).

Our digital camera is about 4 years old and is so slow in taking pictures. We get a lot of shots of either the top or back of Erin's head. So to eliminate this frustration and to have better quality photos of our child(ren), we have ordered a nice camera (we have recently gotten some *free* money - a rebate and a car insurance discount - which covers almost the whole cost)

Change is good.

We ditched satellite about a month or two ago, and I can't say we've missed it. Great decision to get rid of cable!
