Baptism Weekend - Part II

Next, was our cookout, which ended up being lots of fun. We had a little over 20 people, and TONS of food. We had a quick summer rain, which prevented us from being outside too much, but that certainly didn't put a "damper" on things.

As soon as we got home, I fed Erin, but that only kept her happy for about 20 minutes afterwards. She spent most of the party crying in her bedroom trying to be comforted by rotating Grandparents (not rotating as in they were spinning around). Finally around 9:00 I was able to hold her for about 2 hours while she slept. Rough day.

It was good to see people from the young adult group, since we have not been able to do anything with them since late April. There were also a couple of UT friends, a friend of mine from college, and Chris & Katie Reid who came up from Columbia. They were all very generous with the gifts they brought. Some were even for the one who turns 30 on Wednesday.

Overall, a very successful party. It didn't even leave too much of a mess.
