...I found a gray eyebrow today.
But no more stress gray hairs for me (for a while anyway). We turned a huge corner today. After all the mess we went through over the weekend with dehydration, we still hadn't gotten the nursing back on track. Something just wasn't clicking right. So today we had a visit from the lactation consultant that helped us in the hospital.
I was expecting Erin to act as she normally does (either falling dead asleep or fussing like crazy), but to my amazement we had a virtually perfect feeding. I was worried about her being perfect while the consultant was around, and then everything falling apart again once we were on our own.
But, my little girl is a smart cookie, and the following feeding went just as well. I was given some tips and suggestions on how to nurse her better, and it has also helped things go more smoothly. So, if this continues to go well (which I think it will), I will no longer be overwhelmingly concerned with how much she in ingesting (and then supplementing using a syringe & tube, which is no way to feed a baby {no bottles because that messed her up to start with}).
It's so good to know this is under control. Now we just have to get her to sleep for longer periods of time at night. Anyone know the key to that secret?

It's so sexy when you use braces inside parentheses.
