Had a pretty good weekend, mostly uneventful. We resisted temptation and actually ate all of our meals at home. How come restaurants are so very enticing? But ya know, when it's a difference of $25-$35 out or a $2-$3 meal cooked at home, I think there is a smarter choice. And that choice is guilt-free.
Our big splurge, however, was spending $3 at the $1.50 theater to see Lars and the Real Girl. I didn't remember seeing any commercials for it, but we watched a trailer online and it looked interesting. We both really liked it, it was one of those weird humor movies (like Garden State or Lost in Translation). I would recommend it - I guess as a rental unless you have a dollar theater - if you're looking for a good movie.
This should be a good week. My boss is going out of town Wed-Fri, so I will have some time to relax and catch up on some things that have gone to the back burner. It's always so much more relaxing with him gone - especially since I can arrive and leave as I please. Only about 6 more weeks until I can quit for good!
