At the beginning of August I was rocking him to sleep in my arms, putting him down so carefully in his infant swing hoping and praying that he wouldn't wake up (or that Erin wouldn't wake him up). Now I put him down for naps and bedtime in his crib (awake but tired) and he falls asleep on his own. He's also sleeping anywhere between 7 and 10 hours straight at night. It's quite nice.
He's also generally a very happy baby (as you can see in the photo). He gives out many smiles and will sit contently on his own. He only cries if he's tired or hungry. He's also gotten a lot better about chugging down the formula. I've got a weight check for him at the doctor next week, so we can see how much he's chubbed up.
During the rough patches in the beginning, I was very much looking forward to him getting to 3 months. That seems to be when things calm down and get easier. And it's here.
