A few weeks ago I wrote about the sleep issues we were having with Noah. When he was around 6 or 7 weeks old he was getting progressively worse about sleeping on his own. I would rock him to sleep, but not be able to put him down without him waking up. And I certainly couldn't just put him down to fall asleep on his own because he'd cry endlessly (we would occasionally give him a chance to do that, but so many sources said he was too young to let him "cry it out").
We have come a LONG way in just a couple of weeks. I went from napping him in the sling carrier (meaning I was "wearing" him) for all his naps and sleeping with him on the couch overnight to now being able to put him in his crib awake but sleepy for his naps and he sleeps all night in his crib.
For nap time he sometimes goes right to sleep with just a few whimpers, and sometimes he cries hard for 15 minutes before going to sleep. But regardless, he's doing it all on his own with no help from me.
It's very nice to be able to give Erin attention during the day again and to sleep in my own bed.
