Let's go "slim in the water"

We needed an easy outdoor getaway today that wasn't too far, could entertain a toddler and would be easy to take a 5 week old to. So we went back to The Cove, which is a big park that we took Erin to last November.

It was perfect. Nice weather - cloudy with a slight breeze - and not crowded at all. Erin loved playing in the water. I don't think she's ever been in a lake before. She also loved all the geese and ducks that were around.

Noah did well for us. He slept most of the time. When he woke to eat, Sean and Erin were still swimming, so I sat in the shade with him. I was surrounded by more than a dozen ducks (including 5 or 6 ducklings and a feisty mother) and a group of several children with a few adults, one of which was constantly yelling at the kids for the slightest thing (one being the toddler boy who kept throwing down his towel and running away naked). It was not a very relaxing environment.

But overall it was a wonderful trip, we definitely have to get back there soon. Here are our photos from the day.
