Making Progress

Here's what the nursery looked like a month ago. We've made some progress, but still have some arranging to do. We have the curtains to hang up, as you can see in the pack n' play, and I think that will make a big difference.

The recliner that you see in the above photo was bought last night. We were on the search for a comfortable chair that was reasonably priced. After searching a few stores with no luck, we tried a furniture store across town, and this was sitting immediately through the front doors with a sale tag on it. We even avoided paying the $79 delivery charge by accepting the really friendly employee's offer to bring it by our house after he got off of work for 20 bucks (typing that out makes it sound kind of sketchy, but he was really nice). The entire purchase was less than 300.

These two pictures above the crib are from my little wave of craftiness. I cut out designs from old gift bags from when Erin was born and found some black frames for them. I think they look just as good as what Babies R Us sells for $20-30.
