Happy Birthday

Erin is two today. It's hard to believe she's that old already, but yet it seems like she's always been here. We really have been blessed with a wonderful little girl. We've seen the "terrible two" monster peak its head out, but it's not living here to stay just yet. I just hope for a relatively peaceful transition when her brother gets here in about a month.

It's been a while since I've done a list of what she's currently doing, and now seems like a good time. So here are the highlights of Erin at age two:
  • Sleeping in a toddler bed
  • Sitting in a booster chair at the dinner table
  • feeds herself with a spoon or fork (or fingers) 99% of the time
  • mostly speaks in full sentences (anywhere between 3 and 7 words)
  • picks up on new words VERY fast (I have no idea what her word count is)
  • knows the whole alphabet and can sing the abc song
  • can read about 20 to 25 words (nouns we have worked on together)
  • can count to 10
  • knows all the basic colors
(Erin is 4 days old in the photo)
