Merry Christmas! (belated)

New set of puzzles

Don't take my picture, just give me more food

Before church on Christmas morning (I didn't dress them alike on purpose)

This will be remembered as the Christmas of the pink eye and Noah's minor head injury...

We spent Sunday through Thursday at my parents' house and did have a great time visiting, with two minor disruptions. Sunday night, Erin came down with pink eye. Sean got it too, so the two of them headed out Christmas Eve morning, and 6 hours later came back with medicine. It was an adventure, but Erin did great.

We thought the rest of us might have escaped it, but Noah woke up looking horrible the morning after we came home. Puffy, red, crusty eyes. He was absolutely miserable. Good thing we already had the eye drops to start him right away (although getting them in, you would think we were trying to poke him with a sharp stick...wow, he fights us hard). He's still getting the drops, but he looks normal again.

Our other mishap was the day after Christmas when we wanted to get the kids out of the house for a little bit. We went to the mall play area, and everyone was happy as could be until Noah collided head-on with another little girl, fell back and hit his head on a kid-size bench - right on the wooden corner. I picked him up and it took me a few seconds to realize he was bleeding from the back of his head. It freaked us out, we weren't sure how bad it was or what we needed to do.

We ended up getting "help" from a jerky mall cop (totally worthless encounter), and just decided to go home since the bleeding had stopped and Noah was calming down. Once I got a good look at the wound, it wasn't that bad, it had just bled a lot.

Surprisingly enough, this is the worst injury this two-and-a-half year old boy has seen...so far.

Aside from these stories, we really did have a great Christmas...
