This morning the kids (Erin and Noah) wanted to go to starfall.com to look at the letters (level 1 is learning the alphabet - each letter has words and letters with fun animation). As we were looking at the letter choices, Noah says "o" while pointing to the screen. I lifted him up and asked him to point to the "o." And he did! This is the first time I've seen him correctly identify a letter. Before now, if you ask him what a letter is, the answer is always "e."
We were on the website for a little bit and then took a break for lunch. After Erin was finished eating, she went back to the computer and sat down (the starfall screen was still up). And out of nowhere she starts using the mouse correctly and is continuing through the letter V's animation. Any time I've seen her try to use the mouse, she's been clueless about it. So I was amazed that she just started doing it without being specifically taught by me or Sean. And she kept navigating around the website for about 20 minutes like she had known how to use the mouse for years.
Now about Lukers (Noah's nickname is Noers, so naturally, Luke's is Lukers). We've been swaddling him for naps and bedtime since the day he was born. Erin was swaddled for about 3 months and Noah didn't stop needing it until 4 months. But recently I have felt that Luke could possibly have outgrown it. He really resists it and often when I come back to get him once he's awake, he's broken out of it. So for two of his naps today, I've put him down unswaddled and he's fallen asleep just fine. So most likely he's done with it! No more swaddling...what's next...college?
