I never had a problem with the time change until having kids. But what a pain it is. Before this weekend, they would both get up anywhere between 6 and 7am. On a rare occasion it would be a little before 6.
This morning around 4:40 I was woken up by Erin talking on the monitor. I went upstairs to find their light on, she was reading a book out loud and Noah was standing wide awake in his crib.
I put them both down in their beds, turned the light out and left. Noah cried for a few minutes, got quiet for a bit, and then started babbling...wide awake. Around 5, Erin came down and asked for her nighttime diaper to be taken off. I tried to get her to go back to sleep in our bed, but ultimately neither kid went back to sleep after waking up at 4:40. And of course I didn't either.
Whose idea was the time change anyway?
