Trick or Treating

Photos from Trick or Treating

Video from the day

This Halloween was the first time we've taken the kids around the neighborhood. I think they had a great time, although I think Noah was pretty unsure about it all. He did well though, following Erin's example.

After going to several houses up and down our street, we sat next door with our neighbors, Amber and Michael, in their garage and gave out candy while eating the yummy chili they made. Our street was busy with a steady stream of people and Erin just loved her job of handing out the candy. When we had a lull in customers, she would go out into the yard and buzz around like a bee. I think Amber and Michael were very amused to watch our daughter's sugar high. For a little clip of that, watch the video linked above.

We got her settled down and to bed only about 45 minutes past her regular bedtime. She's very excited about the candy she got tonight. I think I even heard her say the words "I love candy." She never eats this stuff, so it's a rare treat. And of course Noah won't get any of his...we are such depriving parents :).

Overall, a successful and fun Halloween.
