Plans have slightly changed and I am leaving with the kids tomorrow morning instead of on Saturday. We learned that the power company needs someone to be at the house to turn on the electricity and water. They also prefer the paperwork to be dropped off at their office before this is done. And since we need our utilities before Tuesday (they don't work weekends and Monday of course is a holiday), I have no choice but to get down there tomorrow.
I'll be scrounging today to finish up all packing and get the camry packed for me and the kids for Friday and Saturday (after the power is on, we'll go stay with my parents until the truck gets to the house). It's a doable task...especially with the Barnettes getting here in a few hours to help with the last minute stuff.
So this is it. We'll be taking off right after breakfast (which means we should be driving away around 7:30am). I'm not sure when our internet will be up and running at the new house, so this will probably be my last post until sometime later next week. But how exciting...we'll be at the new house! Finally.
