A couple weeks ago Noah had a big flare up of his eczema, which I read could be caused by a food allergy. So when I took him for his one year check up, I asked the doctor about it. They drew some blood to test for any allergies.
We got the results today: cow's milk, eggs and most nuts including peanuts.
We're getting an EpiPen to carry around in case he gets exposed to something by accident. These 3 categories of food are everywhere, so it will be a challenge! Especially as much as toddlers like to grab anything and put it in their mouth (Erin's first exposure to peanuts was when she grabbed another kids peanut butter sandwich that was unattended).
I just hope he outgrows this...

Hopefully he will! A friend I work with had a milk allergy and he out grew it, as did another friend who had a lactose and peanut allergy. He is almost 5 and fine now.
Yeah, a little girl in our playgroup outgrew her peanut allergy by 3 years. We'll just have to see how it goes.
We have a couple in our Sunday School class who's son has the same allergies, only his started as eczema an then landed him in the hospital. he's going great now, and they're getting used to cooking around it. Most kids do outgrow milk and peanut butter allergies. I can give you her email if you need a fellow mom to chat with.
