Big Girl Bed

We got Erin's toddler bed a few weeks ago at a consignment sale. Originally we were thinking we'd let her stay in the crib until Noah's around 3 or 4 months old when he'd need it (sleeping in the bassinet until then). But the more I thought about it, the more I realized it would probably be better to make that transition before he arrives. I want to disrupt her life as little as possible, and if she has already moved on to her big girl bed, then she won't have any issues letting her little brother use the crib.

So last night was her first time sleeping in it and it went just fine. She woke up crying once in the middle of the night, but went back down fine after a diaper change. Then she woke up crying again at 7:30 (normally in the morning she plays happily in the crib until we come get her). Overall I think it was a success!

I was a little more nervous about the first nap. I just put her down about 10 minutes ago and she's still quiet. Let's hope she can at least get an hour of sleep before she realizes she can get out and abandon her nap anytime she wants.
