Most of the day I haven't even thought about it being New Year's Eve. It's been a rainy, yucky day mostly spent inside.
This morning Erin and I went out to the library for me to pick up a book and for her to play for a bit in the kid's section. It was pretty empty, which is good considering Erin doesn't know what an "inside voice" is yet.
Since then we have had lunch, Erin took a nap, we watched Dumbo, I've worked and she has played. Dad came home, we had dinner and Erin has had her bath. Now the dishes are getting done, I'm blogging and the short one is running around in slightly-too-big pj's.
Tonight will consist of putting Erin to bed, working some more, and then either a movie or maybe a board game to get us to midnight. Even though we're not doing much to celebrate, neither one of us is ready to not stay up for New Years.
And there it is. The end of the year in a little over 5 hours. When did this happen? And what's next for 2010? A new baby, I guess.
