Time for a New Week to Start

I'm really glad that last week has come to a close. I like to feel that I have a lot of patience with my daughter, but she pushed my limits this past week. For whatever reason - teething, being overtired or just plain mad at the world - she spent a lot of time screaming and being generally unhappy. Finally yesterday she had a good day, and today was mostly good as well.

I'm never too quick to blame teething (just like snow, I'll believe it when I see it), but the classic signs are there - irritability and disrupted sleep. By mid week I noticed that she was looking tired for most of the day but having trouble napping. So we decided to put her to bed an hour earlier each night until she's acting better.

I think the extra sleep is helping, like I said she was mostly fine this weekend. I just hope we have a much better week this week.

Grandma and Grandpa Barnette were here yesterday and today. We asked them to babysit for us last night while we went out to a charity banquet so we could get a nice free meal (I mean, we would donate that money somewhere anyway). It was a nice night out. I think we both needed it.

It is also really nice to see Erin recognize both sets of grandparents now (she has for a little while). I always hated having to reacquaint her with them every time. But they are definitely familiar faces now.

As you can see, we got ourselves a little baby pool. Erin seemed to like it okay, she lasted about 15 or 20 minutes (maybe longer, I don't know). We got some cute photos out of it.

Well, I better get on to some other things I wanted to do before bedtime. Let's hope for a great week.....
