Trip to Charlotte

Finally a chance to sit down and write. We got home Sunday evening from our trip to Charlotte. Put Erin to bed, had some pizza and watched a movie. Yesterday was a normal day, but once Erin went to sleep, I had about a million things I wanted to do (okay, like 5 things), and blogging just didn't happen.

The trip was fun. We wanted to take a hike in the mountains on our way home Sunday, but the rain once again kept us from doing that. It's supposed to be sunny all week, so we are going to get out somewhere on Thursday.

Highlights from the trip:

1. On the way down, we stopped at Moe's for dinner. This was the first time we have ordered off the kid's menu. Erin enjoyed a little 3 inch burrito (called a "moo moo mr. cow"). Mommy and Daddy enjoyed the cookie that came with it.

2. Thursday night we were woken up by either a flock of wild birds attacking Erin or a space alien attack. Turns out it was just an alarm clock in the next room that sounds like birds. It's hard to figure these things out at 2am.

3. Saw Alex briefly on Friday afternoon as he was passing through for his layover.

4. Helped pack up boxes and load up the van (the Barnette's are in the process of moving from Charlotte to TN).

5. Since hiking was out of the question, we tagged along to the annual Barnette family reunion on Sunday. It was great food, and Erin had fun playing basketball.

Here are the photos from the trip.
