Where's The Baby?

Erin just totally surprised and impressed me tonight.

I was reading her bedtime story (a story about a baby who is going through his bedtime routine) and she was calmly sitting in on my lap - half the time she is squirming like crazy and pulling at the pages. So tonight I was able to go slower and about half way through the book I asked her "where's the baby?" She pointed to him! I thought maybe that was just a lucky guess, so I tried it on the next several pages.

She got it right every time, even when the mom and dad were on the page too. The last page was tricky because the baby was in the crib with a blanket covering him and she still pointed to him!

It's just exciting to see that she really does understand a lot and she knows that babies are the little people (also, she has not gotten to where she's pointing at things, so this is a big deal!)
