Erin has a very consistent bedtime routine, which very successfully signals to her that it's time for bed. Well, a few weeks ago, we incorporated a new step in the routine. She wears pull-ups to bed to prevent leaking, and after we stand her up on the changing table to pull them all the way up, we pause to take a moment to pinch her cute butt cheeks (we each take a cheek). It amuses her every time.
So now as we start to put them over her feet - even before we stand her up - she gets a grin on her face and a twinkle in her eye because she knows what's coming next. Her excited anticipation is even more amusing to us now than the actual pinching.
