Our Little Chubs

I took Erin in for a weight check today. 6 weeks ago, at her 9 month appointment, she hadn't gained much weight since the last time, so the doctor wanted to bring her in again to keep an eye on it.

We found it strange (and not good) that she wasn't gaining like she should be, so after careful consideration we switched to formula. I hated to do it, but it was definitely the right decision, and her health is always top priority.

So now she's 17 and a half pounds! She gained 4 and a half pounds in 6 weeks. The child has never gained that quickly. We are very excited for our little chubs!

Later this afternoon, the three of us were at the Kroger self-check-out. Erin was grinning at the cashier so she asked how old Erin is. After I told her, she said "what a big girl." I don't think she's ever been called big by anyone. It was a nice change from "she's so tiny."
