Goodbye Oh Eight

So on Tuesday, we left Alex's and drove 3 hours to San Marcos to visit the Beebes. They are old family friends of the Barnettes from their Florida days. I had met them once before at our wedding, but it was really great to spend a couple days with them. They are lots of fun and did a great job showing us around (and feeding us great food).

Yesterday we traveled not far to San Antonio to see the Alamo and the River Walk. Again, it was a beautiful day to spend outside. Below are some photos from the day.

We spent our New Year's Eve night at their house watching movies and snacking. I was dozing during the second movie, but was able to wake up for midnight. I think this was the first time that I was ever away from my home time zone for New Years. It felt like I was cheating on the east coast. We stayed up just a little bit later and went to bed. We resisted the urge to wake up Erin and wish her a happy new year.
