Erin's Resolution: Use Fewer Diapers

I never set new year's resolutions because it's a cliche thing to do and it's well known that nobody sticks to anything they set out to do. So I'm not new year's resoluting, but we are going to start working on: exercising more, spending less money, getting more stuff done around the house on the weekends and working on a better quality prayer life. But no, those are not resolutions :)

Things are slowly getting better with Erin and her naps. The hard thing is, I have to time them just right. If I put her down overtired or not sleepy enough, she'll cry for the whole hour that I leave her in the crib. If I get it just right, she's asleep within a few minutes. I know the sleepy signs to look for, so I'm getting better at it, but it's still a struggle to get this whole thing working right. Right now, I'd say only half of my crib attempts are successful.

On the other hand, bedtime has been going smooth as a baby's butt. Before our Christmas traveling, we were putting her to bed at 7 (usually pretty fussy at this point) and she would wake up once or twice during the night (and cry for 10 minutes...30 minutes...an hour...whatever) and then eat at 5am. Now, she goes to bed between 5:30 and 6, is hardly fussy for us, and sleeps solid until 5/5:30. It's been going very well.

There's probably more to say, but it's bed time. G'night.
