Museum of Appalachia

My parents visited this weekend. I wasn't sure at first what we were going to do...were we just going to sit around and stare at Erin wondering what she'll do next? So Friday we came up with the idea of going to the Museum of Appalachia. We had been wanting to check it out for a while, and this seemed like the perfect chance to go. I'm really glad we did, it was fun and the weather could not have been more perfect.

Basically what it was, was an outside walking tour of old timey stuff like buildings and houses and what not from the 18 and 1900's. And to make it more fun, there were sheep, bulls, turkeys, peacocks and ducks around (some were caged/fenced, some were not).

We took Erin around in the Snugli, and about half way through, she fell asleep, as you can see below.

It was a fun relaxing weekend, and I'm glad my parents got to spend some time with Erin. It had been about 2 months since they had seen her. We got to show off some of her new skills (including sitting up in a "tripod" position and her massive amounts of drool - hence the new blog title).

Here are a few pics from the weekend:
