When Your Blinds Are Glowing Pinkish Purple

That means it's time to go outside and look at the sunset.

The UT semester is starting next week, so my days with a semi stay-at-home dad are quickly going away. Faced with spending morning till 5pm alone with a 3 month old who doesn't say anything, I got motivated to search for a playgroup. There is one at our church that I am planning on joining, but I also wanted to find one through knoxmoms.com. Putting in my zip code brought up two groups. One was through a Methodist Church (nothing against that, I'm just not Methodist), so I went with the group Mommy and Me.

I inquired about it yesterday only to find out they were having a "meet and greet" today at the Knoxville mall (I later learned that they only have about one a month, so lucky me that I didn't just miss it {they check out new members before letting them officially join the group - I think that's very smart}).

So I met the moms & tots in the food court and there were three other new moms there. More people slowly joined as we ate lunch and then went downstairs to the kid's play area.

I really liked the people I talked to, I think I'm going to really enjoy the group. Erin did very well while we were there. There was one time when I was sitting next to a mom with her 10 week old son. Erin looked at him with her intense inquisitive eyes and held her arm out like she wanted to touch him. She also does that sometimes when we hold her in front of a mirror, so I'm not sure what all she understands. Anyway, it was cute.

It's getting late, I should get to bed. I'm happy to be filling my calendar with various things. I miss being busy. Now I'm just a different kind of busy.
