It's a great day today. We just got back from running a few errands - it was the first time I've left the house since getting back into town on Monday night (aside from taking walks in the neighborhood). You would think I'd be getting stir crazy from being at home all the time, but I'm really fine with it. I suspect it's because I like being with my daughter.
She's been doing well this week. The crying seems to be narrowed down to just the evening time. Mornings, afternoons & nights seem to be relatively quiet. We still can't put her down without her waking up and getting upset, but we're working on that.
The other great improvement is that her feedings are starting to space out. So instead of every 2 hours or so, we can make it about 3 to 3 and a half hours. It might not seem like much, but it is a relief to me when I'm the only one that can provide this service for her.
We have joined a local nonprofit program called Healthy Families. The main thing is that someone comes out to your house once a week for about an hour. We talk about different things, as well as do educational games and what not. In addition to that, they have events and activities throughout the month. So this will be a good way for us to get out of the house as she gets older.
Our one year anniversary is on Monday. So to celebrate, we are bringing in the grandparents to babysit while we get a night out tonight. The plan is dinner and a movie. Not too original for a date, but we are glad to get the time out to ourselves.
Someone's crying, so I gotta go.
