Finally, A Second To Sit Down

I have been meaning to post something since, well, she was born, but it has taken me until today to have any time to sit down and do it (imagine that).

The three of us are doing well. We got home from the hospital yesterday and it has been nice to get settled in. The lack of sleep has hit us pretty hard, but we both feel better today than we have been. I won't lie, being first time parents of a new born is very difficult. It's hard to know how to sooth those horrendous screams, but once you realize that most of it is gas after a feeding, it's nice to know it's not anything you are or aren't doing (although you still want to fix it).

Erin is pretty much rotating between feeding (well, I might add), crying and sleeping. There isn't much calm awake time. It's either asleep and calm or awake and fussy. Our biggest obstacle right now is getting her to lay down on her own when she sleeps. Someone basically has to be holding her at all times - which makes night time challenging.

Okay, time is up. Motherhood calls. I will try to post more soon. Enjoy the more recent photos.

i can't get over how much she looks like her daddy. that is always so amazing to me, how baby's just look so much like their parents. it really shouldn't be surprising to me; isn't that the most natural thing? but it's like, how did they not exist before if they look so much like you? anyways, i'm rambling. cute.
